LUMINES BASIC frosted PMMA LED profile cover 2.02 m

LUMINES BASIC 11-2212-20 is a flat, frosted PMMA cover for compatible LED profiles. Its semi-transparent surface gently diffuses light, unlike the more obscuring milky BASIC version. This is a profile cover rather than a complete light fitting.

What the frosted finish changes

The manufacturer specifies 78% light transmission for this version. Its cover datasheet gives a ±5% tolerance for the test results. That figure describes the cover, not the luminous flux of a finished lighting installation. When choosing an LED strip, allow for the fact that only part of the light reaching the cover passes through it. The frosted surface provides gentle diffusion, but this should not be read as a guarantee that individual LED points will disappear completely.

A 2020 mm section with top-down fitting

Article 11-2212-20 is the nominal 2 m version, supplied in a 2020 mm section. The stated length tolerance is +5 mm. When matching an existing profile, compare the actual section length rather than relying solely on the rounded size designation. The cover is pressed into place from the front, or top, of the profile.

The simple flat cover follows the selected profile, so the appearance of the complete assembly also depends on that profile.
