TALIA M1 is a mounting profile: an aluminium rail that the TALIA light profile clips into. It holds neither LED strip nor cover itself — it is the base that gets fixed to the wall or ceiling. Its section measures 36 x 13.1 mm, this piece is 1 m long and it is made of silver anodized aluminium.
Which profiles it works with
The manufacturer intends TALIA M1 first of all for the TALIA surface profile — it is one of four mounting profiles in that family. On the product pages for the UNICO and DOPIO profiles LUMINES shows mounting on the same rail, so it serves three systems rather than one.
End caps are separate articles and profile-specific: one set for M1 alone, another set of shared Talia M1 + Talia caps, each in white, black and silver. Both come with and without a cable hole — the hole is where the lead leaves the run, so a length usually needs one cap of each kind.
Mounting and joining longer runs
The rail is screwed to the surface first, and the TALIA profile then clicks into the shaped groove. In practice that means the light profile can be taken off later without unscrewing the whole base. The manufacturer allows surface and suspended mounting.
Lengths can be joined: TALIA M1 has its own mounting connector, and the TALIA profile has a left and a right one, which keep a longer line continuous. The rail is made in 1 m, 2.02 m and 3 m, and to order up to 6 m, so a longer run is assembled from several pieces.
What you need to buy as well
The mounting profile is sold on its own. LED strip, cover, end caps, connectors and driver are separate LUMINES system articles, chosen to suit the TALIA profile rather than this rail.
The manufacturer states that the profile cannot be sealed and rates it IP20 — that is, for dry interiors. It is not described as drive-over rated either, so it is not intended for building into a floor that is walked on.
