CUADRAX is a wall light from the Spanish maker Mantra, designed by the MANTRA TEAM. The construction is simple and geometric: a steel base in a satin nickel finish and two clear glass elements. It measures 20 cm wide, 15 cm high and 15 cm out from the wall — compact, but projecting enough to separate the two beams.
Bulbs included
This is unusual at the price: the fitting is supplied with bulbs. Mantra put two G9 LED bulbs of 2.5 W each in the box, so nothing needs buying after unpacking. The G9 cap is common, so when the bulbs eventually go, replacing them with any LED of that type is straightforward.
The character of the light
Two points of light in clear glass give accent and decorative light, not general illumination — the 5 W of supplied diodes is a brightness comparable to two small LED candles. The fitting works well in pairs beside a bed, along a corridor, or on either side of a mirror, where it should add light and drawing rather than light a room. It is not dimmable.
Supply and installation
A technical curiosity: the input is 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz rather than European 230 V only — the same unit will work on practically any mains in the world. Protection class I requires an earth connection. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry interiors — it is not suitable for a shower zone or outdoors. Net weight 1.2 kg.
Family and warranty
CUADRAX covers wall lights in a single-light version (ref. 0004029) and this two-light one, both in satin nickel. Mantra give the fitting a three-year warranty; production is in Spain. Certificate of conformity: MANTR210202.00.
