MARMO is a small table lamp 25.5 cm tall: a printed ceramic base and a 16 cm linen shade, in white. The name points to marble — the pattern on the ceramic is printed, not worked into the body.

Desk scale, not room scale

Twenty-five centimetres is bedside-lamp height, not the height of a lamp that lights a room. MARMO belongs on a nightstand, a windowsill, a shelf, a desk beside a monitor — wherever soft light within arm's reach matters more than overall brightness. The base takes up 10 × 10 cm, so it fits even a narrow surface.

The switch is on the cord

The lamp has an on/off switch set into the cord, not on the body. At a bedside that detail decides how usable it is: no hunting for a button on the housing in the dark, no reaching for the socket — your hand only has to find the cable. The plug is type C.

Ceramic and linen

Pairing these two materials is deliberate: ceramic gives weight and stability (the lamp weighs 0.4 kg on a small footprint, so a tug on the cable will not tip it), while linen diffuses the light softly and warmly, without a hard-edged cone. The shade is an empire shape — tapering gently upward — with the same 16 cm diameter top and bottom, so light leaves both downward onto the surface and sideways through the fabric.

Japandi

Lucide files MARMO under Japandi — Japanese restraint crossed with Scandinavian practicality. In practice that means pale natural materials, no ornament and a simple rounded form. White with a faint marbled print is neutral enough not to compete with the rest of the room, while stopping short of being entirely plain.

Which lamp to fit

The holder is E14, maximum 40 W, and the lamp ships without a light source. It is not dimmable, so a dimmable bulb buys nothing here; control comes down to the cord switch. For a bedside lamp, 2200–2700 K is the best choice — the warmer, the less it disturbs sleep. Lucide recommends its own P45 filament bulb (49022/04/60) for this model.
