BRONX is a black rectangular outdoor wall light 32 cm tall that throws light both ways — up and down. The body is aluminium, the diffusers a temperature-resistant plastic. It projects 16.5 cm from the wall and is 10.8 cm wide.
The anti-glare grille
The manufacturer fits an anti-reflective grille in the optical section. That is an unusual detail at this price and a practical one: it limits glare for anyone looking towards the fitting and limits light spilling beyond the area meant to be lit. On a facade next to windows or a road that matters.
Aluminium rather than steel
The base material is aluminium, which does not corrode — on a fitting that hangs outdoors all year that is the difference between a housing that starts rusting around the screws after a few seasons and one that does not. The declared operating range is −40 to +50 °C, so the fitting suits climates with hard winters too.
Light sources
The light has two E27 lampholders rated at a maximum of 60 W each. No bulbs are included — the choice is the buyer's, which on an outdoor fitting allows a colour and output matched to the facade. The fitting is not dimmable.
Installation and resistance
The IP54 rating means full dust protection and resistance to splashing water from any direction — the right level for a facade, an entrance and a terrace. The fitting is electrical class I, so a protective earth conductor is required. Supply 220–240 V, 50 Hz. Net weight 0.88 kg, gross 1.05 kg. Maytoni gives a five-year warranty.
The BRONX series
Besides this two-way model the series includes the single-light wall version O576WL-01B and landscape bollards using the same optics and E27 socket, so a facade and a garden path can be lit consistently.
