Nora 2495GB is a flat outdoor wall light shaped as a square block, cast in aluminium and powder-coated in beige grey (RAL 7006). Light leaves only through a narrow pane of clear safety glass along the bottom edge, so it falls downward onto the wall and the ground below — the manufacturer states a ULOR of 0%, meaning no light is sent towards the sky.
Size and wiring
The front measures 13 × 13 cm and the housing projects only 5 cm from the wall, so it stays clear of a door leaf or a nearby downpipe. It is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm. The fitting is protection class I, so the supply cable must include an earth conductor.
The terminals take up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next fitting with up to 5 × 1.5 mm² — several wall lights on one facade can therefore run from a single line. The manufacturer also states how many fit on one circuit breaker: 46 on B 10 A, 74 on B 16 A or C 10 A, and 119 on C 16 A.
Light and control
The integrated LED module draws 8 W and delivers 518 lm from the fitting at 2700 K — warm, slightly yellowish light, enough for an entrance or a strip of facade. The DALI2 driver allows dimming and connection to a building control system; a standard phase dimmer will not work with it.
The light source is not user-replaceable: the module and driver are exchanged by a service technician, and the manufacturer offers service kit ZN2495XX0009 for this. The module keeps 90% of its output for more than 52,600 h.
Durability
IP65 means the housing is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, and IK09 means it withstands impacts of 10 J, which matters when the light is mounted low, within reach. The manufacturer designed Nora for lighting walls and facades.
