BERONI 45 is a Nordlux pendant with a spherical shade 45 cm across, woven from bent metal rods. The cage is open — the bulb shows between the rods and the shade holds none of the light back. Everything is finished in black, including the two-metre cord.
How big it is and how high to hang it
The 45 cm sphere, 43 cm tall, keeps its proportion over a table 80–100 cm wide; on its own it also suits a kitchen island or the seating area of a living room. The cord is 200 cm, so the pendant can hang low over a table or high under the ceiling — the length is shortened during installation.
At a normal ceiling height the bottom of the shade usually ends up 70–80 cm above the table: the light then covers the whole surface and the sphere does not block the person opposite. Several of them at different heights make a group over a longer worktop. The pendant is protection class II — double insulated — so the installation needs no earth conductor.
How much light BERONI 45 gives
The fitting takes one E27 bulb of up to 60 W. No bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself — for a dining room that usually means 2700–3000 K, a warm, slightly yellow light.
The open cage does not trap the light: the rods throw a regular pattern of shadows onto the ceiling and walls, and the bulb stays visible from every side, which is what the fitting is built for — a decorative lamp. It can be dimmed, but that needs a dimmable bulb and a dimmer; the pendant carries no control gear of its own.
What room it suits
The manufacturer intends BERONI for the dining table, the living room and the bedroom, and for hotel and restaurant interiors — anywhere the pendant hangs over a defined zone and is seen close up. The black mesh of thin rods does not fill the room: the body measures 45 cm, yet stays see-through, so it takes nothing away from the view in a smaller space.
