Astrid 2208GR is a garden bollard with a square 14 × 14 cm section, 85 cm tall. The body is a painted aluminium profile in a graphite finish, fluted with vertical grooves along its whole height; in the upper part a milky plastic diffuser shows between the ribs and the light comes out through it. A flat cap closes the top. The luminaire weighs 6.24 kg.
How much light it gives, and what that covers
The LED module draws 8.02 W and the complete luminaire 10.6 W. What leaves the diffuser is 256 lm — roughly a third of what a 60 W bulb used to give. Astrid therefore marks the line of a path and lights whatever stands right beside it, rather than lighting a whole driveway; along a longer run several bollards are planned in a row.
The colour temperature is 3000 K, a warm white, with a colour rendering index of Ra 80. Half the output goes above the horizontal (ULOR 50%), so the bollard lights both the surface underfoot and the fluted body above it. The light source is built in permanently and cannot be replaced.
Control and wiring
The luminaire runs on 220–240 V and is controlled over DALI-2. Its brightness can be adjusted, but only from a DALI controller — an ordinary phase-cut dimmer on the wall will not do it. The terminals accept conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow the bollard to be looped in, carrying the supply on to the next one; the EPDM gland takes a round cable up to 12.5 mm across.
Mounting and durability
The base is fixed through three ø9 mm holes set 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle. The concrete anchor, the ground spike and the foundation adapter are not included — they are separate items in the Norlys catalogue and have to be ordered with the bollard.
IP65 means full dust protection and resistance to water jets, and IK10 impact resistance means a 20 J blow, the highest step on that scale. The manufacturer states an ambient range of −20 to +45 °C.
