The Lillehammer 1581AL is a box-shaped outdoor wall light 18.5 cm high, 8 cm wide and 11 cm deep, made of powder-coated cast aluminium in aluminium colour RAL 9006, a silvery grey. It shines up and down at the same time through optical glass lenses.
What light it gives
Two built-in LED modules give 3000 K warm white light, leaving the fitting in two 60° beams, one up and one down. The luminaire delivers 229 lm from 7.3 W; this is light for picking out a wall and marking an entrance, not for lighting a whole yard. Norlys gives a ULOR of 50%, so half the flux goes upwards and draws a bright band on the facade above the fitting. The light source is included; no bulb needs to be bought.
The fitting can be dimmed with a trailing-edge (TE) phase dimmer, which the built-in Philips Xitanium TE driver works with. Norlys states an L90 lifetime of over 52,600 hours and L80 of over 102,000 hours, and 50,000 hours for the driver.
Installation and operating conditions
The light is screwed to the wall through two ø 5 mm holes on a 45 × 130 mm pattern. The terminals take a cable of up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and 7–10.5 mm diameter and let the supply loop on to the next fitting with up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so several lights on one facade run from one supply line. Protection class I requires a protective earth connection. IP65 allows mounting on a wall without any cover, and the impact rating is IK08. The light weighs 1.66 kg.
Where it fits
The plain, box-shaped body without ornament matches a modern and Scandinavian style. Norlys intends it for lighting walls and facades, and the catalogue lists it for gardens, balconies, hotels and restaurants.
