Norlys Nora 2469AL LED Outdoor Wall Light, Aluminium, 10.3 W 4000 K, Satin Glass, DALI-2, IP65

Nora 2469AL is a square, flat outdoor wall light in cast aluminium, powder-coated in the aluminium colour RAL 9006 — a light, silvery metal tone. The front measures 13 × 13 cm and the housing projects only 5 cm from the wall. Satin safety glass closes the light slots along the top and bottom edges, so the fitting draws two soft, diffused bands on the wall: one above it and one below.

What light it gives

The source is two integrated LED modules at 10.3 W luminaire power, so there are no bulbs to buy. The whole luminaire delivers 496 lm, and 4000 K is a neutral white under which render, brick or timber keep their natural colour. A ULOR of 50% means the light splits evenly between up and down — Nora grazes the wall and marks an entrance, but it will not replace a floodlight over a driveway.

The driver is built in and works on DALI-2, so the fitting can be dimmed and grouped from a DALI controller. The LED modules and the driver can be replaced by a qualified service — Norlys lists a service kit for this luminaire, so a failed source does not mean replacing the whole fitting. The manufacturer rates the modules at over 52,600 h to 90% of initial flux (L90) and over 102,000 h to 80% (L80), and the driver at 100,000 h.

Fixing and wiring several fittings

The light is fixed with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm and weighs 0.85 kg. It is protection class I, so a protective earth conductor must reach the terminals. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping the supply on to the next fitting (up to 5 × 1.5 mm²) — a row of these along one façade can therefore run off a single round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter.

Inrush current is 6.7 A for 2.4 µs. The manufacturer states how many of these fittings one circuit breaker can carry: 46 on B 10 A, 74 on B 16 A, 74 on C 10 A and 119 on C 16 A. Connection should be made by a qualified electrician.

Where it can be mounted

Norlys intends Nora for lighting walls and façades. The housing is rated IP65 — dust-tight and protected against water jets — so the light can hang on a wall with no canopy above it. IK09 describes its impact resistance, which matters for a fitting mounted low, beside a door or along a path.
