Nora 2466GR Outdoor Wall Light Graphite LED 4000K IP65 NORLYS

Nora 2466GR is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat square block of cast aluminium, powder-coated graphite in shade RAL 7016. The fitting measures 13 × 13 cm and projects 5 cm from the wall. Light leaves through narrow slots at the top and bottom, behind clear safety glass.

What light it gives

Two LED modules together deliver 830 lm for 10.3 W of draw. At 4000 K the colour is neutral white with no yellow cast, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough on a façade, where legibility of texture matters rather than colour fidelity.

The distribution is two-sided and diffused: half the flux goes up and half down, so two symmetric fields of light appear on the wall. The manufacturer states that upward half as ULOR 50% — a figure to check wherever local rules limit upward light emission. The glass is clear rather than opal, so the edges of those fields stay defined.

Mounting and wiring

The fitting is fixed on two ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm and weighs 0.85 kg. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow further fittings to be looped through with up to 5 × 1.5 mm² — so a row of lights along one façade does not need a separate run to each. The cable needs a round sheath 7 to 10.5 mm in diameter.

Nora is protection class I and therefore requires a circuit with a protective earth conductor. IP65 sealing and IK09 impact resistance allow mounting on an exposed wall with no cover, and the manufacturer gives an operating range of −20 to +45 °C. A silicone gasket does the sealing.

Control and module replacement

The fitting runs on the DALI2/TD system. That is a digital bus: dimming needs a DALI controller and a bus supply, and an ordinary phase-cut wall dimmer will not work.

The source is not changed like a bulb. The LED module and the driver are replaceable, but by a service technician — the manufacturer quotes L90 above 52,600 hours for the modules and 100,000 hours for the driver. Nora 2466 comes in eight body colours; 3000 K carries index 2464 and 2700 K index 2465. The satin-glass counterparts are 2467 to 2469.
