NORLYS Nora 2494CB LED outdoor wall light 8 W 3000 K DALI2 copper brown RAL 8004

Nora 2494CB is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat, square block 13 cm on each side that projects only 5 cm from the wall. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in copper brown (RAL 8004), and is closed underneath by a clear safety-glass diffuser.

How it lights and where it fits

The fitting shines downwards only, through the glass in the underside of the body. The manufacturer gives a ULOR of 0%, meaning no light leaves above the fitting, so it does not shine into upper-floor windows or the night sky. Norlys intends it for lighting walls and facades: it washes a band of masonry and the ground directly below it.

The integrated LED module draws 8 W and the fitting delivers 551 lm at 3000 K, a warm white close to a traditional incandescent bulb. Colour rendering is Ra 80. Within the Nora series the same body is also made in 2700 K and 4000 K versions and with a satin diffuser.

DALI2 control and wiring

The built-in driver runs on the DALI2 control system, so the fitting can be dimmed and switched in a DALI installation together with other fittings. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow a loop-through to the next fitting with up to 5 × 1.5 mm², so a row of these lights along one facade can run on a single circuit. The manufacturer also states how many fit on one circuit breaker: 46 on B10A, 74 on B16A and 119 on C16A.

It is protection class I, so it must be connected to the protective earth. The cable gland takes round-sheathed cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter, and the body fixes to the wall through two ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm.

Durability and servicing

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the light can hang on an unsheltered wall. The IK09 rating means the body and glass resist impacts well, and a silicone gasket seals the interior.

The LED module is not meant to be replaced by the user, but the manufacturer provides for replacement of the light source and driver by a professional service, using service kit ZN2494XX0009. The module is rated for over 52,600 h at 90% of its luminous flux (L90), and the driver for 100,000 h.
