The CTLS POWER T CONNECTOR RIGHT 1 (T-R1) is a white T-connector for Nowodvorski's CTLS 3-circuit surface track. It joins three track sections into a T-shaped branch and carries power on into all three arms.
What it does and what it works with
POWER in the name means the connector has live contacts: current passes through it to the next track sections, so luminaires on every arm of the branch run from a single supply point. The connector does not bring mains into the track itself — in the CTLS system a separate live end feed does that.
The connector fits CTLS (Commercial Track Light System) track only. T-connectors for 3-circuit track are made in right-hand and left-hand versions, depending on which side the protective earth conductor runs; this one is designated RIGHT 1 (T-R1). The version has to be matched to the track layout before ordering.
Electrical ratings
The connector runs at 220–230 V and 50/60 Hz and is rated for 16 A, or 3.7 kVA. That is the ceiling for the combined draw of the luminaires fed through this branch, so on a longer run it is worth adding up the wattage of every fitting beyond the connector.
It is a Class I part, so the track installation needs a continuous protective earth. The IP20 rating limits it to indoor use, which matches the application the manufacturer states.
Construction and box contents
The body is white plastic and the contacts are copper. The part that slides into the track is 3.4 cm long. The box contains the connector only; track, the end feed and luminaires are bought separately. The same connector also comes in black, symbol 8242.
