The CTLS Recessed Power Flex Connector is a flexible link between two runs of the recessed CTLS track. It has two plug-in ends joined by a corrugated, bendable sleeve, and the whole piece disappears into the track profile. The housing is white plastic with copper contacts.
What it does and what it fits
The connector carries power from one section of track to the next while letting the two sit at a slight angle to each other β the flexible middle takes up a small change of direction or an offset in the axis that a rigid straight connector cannot. It is a system part, not a luminaire: it emits no light and carries no light point.
The manufacturer intends it only for the recessed version of the three-circuit CTLS system. Before buying, check that the track already installed really is CTLS in the recessed version β connectors from different track systems are not interchangeable.
Electrical rating
The connector is rated for loads up to 16 A, that is 3.7 kVA, at 220β230 V and 50/60 Hz. That figure caps the combined wattage of the fittings fed through this point, so on a long run it is worth comparing against the draw of the whole installation.
Protection class I means the installation needs an earth conductor. The IP20 rating assumes dry indoor rooms β the part is not suited to a shower zone or to outdoor use.
Size and installation
The connector is 30.5 cm long, 5.6 cm wide and 3.2 cm tall, and weighs 0.15 kg. The length is the stretch that has to be allowed for in the recess between two pieces of track β this is not a short plug but a full-size module. Fitting it means pushing both ends into the profiles of the adjoining sections.
