EDESA LED M 9108 is a cylindrical surface-mounted spot, 9 cm across and 11 cm tall. The body is aluminium lacquered in white, and the lens sits deep inside the tube behind a black ring. The LED module is permanently built in.
Size and mounting
The fitting screws straight onto the surface β no opening to cut and no space to keep clear above the ceiling, so it will go on a concrete soffit as readily as anywhere else. The mounting kit is included.
The 9 cm cylinder stands 11 cm proud and weighs 0,66 kg. Protection class I requires a PE earth conductor to be connected, and the supply is 220-230 V, 50/60 Hz.
How the EDESA LED M lights
The built-in module draws 7 W and delivers 530 lm at 3000 K, a warm white. A colour rendering index of Ra β₯ 80 is enough for an entrance and a circulation route.
The beam angle is what decides its use: 19Β° is narrow, and from 2,5 m it draws a pool roughly 85 cm across on the ground. This fitting does not lift the light level over an area β it marks a specific place: a front door, a step, a house number, a section of wall. Several at even spacing give a run of separate pools rather than a continuous wash.
Where it may be installed
IP54 protects the fitting against dust and splashing water from any direction. That is a level for covered positions β the soffit of a porch, a passage, the area above a front door, a roofed terrace β and equally for damp interiors.
Construction
The leading material is lacquered aluminium, with glass covering the lens. A single white and the absence of ornament let the fitting disappear into a light ceiling, so what is seen is the light itself. The manufacturer rates the module at 10 000 hours and the energy efficiency class is G.
