The PROFILE POWER STRAIGHT CONNECTOR is a straight joiner for the single-circuit surface-mounted PROFILE track. It couples two track sections in a line and carries the circuit across the joint, so both sections work as one run. The housing is white PC plastic, with a steel stiffening plate running along the joint.
Which system it belongs to
The manufacturer specifies this connector for the single-circuit PROFILE track only and states no compatibility with any other system. It is therefore not the part to choose for three-circuit track or for another maker's rail.
The word POWER means only that the joiner carries current between the sections. It is not a driver and not a feed-in box - the manufacturer describes the package contents as a track connector.
How much room it takes at the joint
The manufacturer states that 3.4 cm of the connector's length disappears inside the track and 7.3 cm of the body stays visible between the sections. The whole part measures 14 cm. Those 7.3 cm are a stretch on which no fitting can be seated, which is worth counting in when spacing the light points.
Supply, earthing and operating conditions
The data sheet gives a 220-230 V supply at 50/60 Hz and protection class I, meaning an installation with a protective conductor. A short green-and-yellow lead with a two-pole plug comes out of the connector - part of the protective circuit, visible in the manufacturer's photographs.
The IP20 rating and the declared indoor use limit installation to dry rooms. The connector is 3.5 cm wide and weighs 0.095 kg; the 11 x 3.5 x 2 cm box holds the connector alone, with no screws and no track sections.
