This is a power end cap for the recessed track of Nowodvorski's PROFILE system. It is not a luminaire and it does not light – it is the part through which mains power enters the track. It closes one end of the track run and at the same time connects it to the 220–230 V supply.

Power end cap or dead end cap?

This distinction decides whether the assembly works at all. The POWER END CAP (this product, code 8972) brings the supply in and goes on the end of the track where the cable comes down from the ceiling. At the other end you fit a DEAD END CAP (codes 8974/8975) – a blind cap with no terminals that simply closes the profile. A typical installation needs both, one at each end.

Which system it fits

The cap is made for recessed PROFILE track in its single-circuit version. It does not fit surface-mounted track or three-circuit versions – Nowodvorski has separate counterparts for each variant in the same family (for example PROFILE POWER END CAP 9462 for surface track). Check your track's documentation for "recessed" and "single-circuit" before ordering.

Build

The body is polycarbonate (PC), the contacts and load-bearing parts steel and copper – copper for conduction, steel for a rigid fixing. White, matched to the white version of PROFILE track. Dimensions 11.7 × 6 cm, weight 70 g. Class I means the circuit needs a protective earth. IP20 – dry interiors only.
