Outdoor ceiling light NORLYS Nidaros 2123BL black RAL 9005 LED 4000 K IP65

NORLYS Nidaros 2123BL is an outdoor ceiling luminaire in powder-coated die-cast aluminium, finish black RAL 9005. It fixes to a horizontal surface and sends light only downwards through a clear safety-glass cover. The integrated 4000 K LED module is included; you do not add a separate lamp. The source may be replaced only by a professional service.

Size and fixing

The fitting is 9 cm long, 12 cm wide and 12 cm high. On a terrace soffit, balcony ceiling or canopy it reads as a compact downlight, not a post or a wall-mounted uplight. Net weight is 0.95 kg, gross 1 kg; the carton is 12 × 13 × 13 cm.

Mounting uses two holes, following the enclosed instructions. Terminals accept up to 3 × 2.5 mm², looping up to 1.5 mm². The gland needs a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. Spacer 3084XX0009 is an accessory sold separately.

The light it throws

The luminaire draws 10.7 W and delivers 808 lm of useful light. The module itself is 10 W and 1051 lm, so some flux stays in the cover and housing. Distribution is one-sided at 24° down, ULOR 0%, so it does not send light into the sky. That is a narrow cone for a wall, plinth or floor under an overhang, not even wash lighting for a whole terrace.

4000 K, CRI 80 and SDCM3 give neutral, repeatable white light. Phase dimming works on trailing-edge and leading-edge controls. L70 life by TM-21 exceeds 59 000 h. Insulation class I, supply about 220–240 V, inrush 44 mA / 60 ms, power factor 0.95.

Outdoor use

A silicone gasket and IP65 support a terrace, balcony, entrance canopy, garden shelter and the wall or façade lighting Norlys names as typical. Ambient range is −20 to +45 °C. It is not for immersion and is not a bathroom fitting. Condensation inside can be a natural effect and is not by itself a defect. Black RAL 9005 sets 2123BL apart from graphite 2123GR, white 2123WH and aluminium 2123AL.
