Nowodvorski ELLIPSES LED 8140 is a surface-mounted outdoor wall luminaire with a white lacquered aluminium body. The short cylinder is open at top and bottom, so two integrated LEDs wash the wall above and below while the front stays dark. The manufacturer lists lacquered aluminium and glass. Code 8140 is the white finish.
Size and fixing
Height 17.5 cm, width 9 cm and depth 14.5 cm sit beside a door frame, on a fence post or on a narrow terrace pier. Net weight is 0.68 kg, 0.78 kg with the pack. Fixing is direct to the substrate: holes, plugs and the ~220–230 V / 50/60 Hz connection belong to a qualified electrician. Class I needs an earth conductor.
IP54 covers dust and rain splash on a façade, balcony or under a gazebo roof. The fitting is not for immersion. IP54 does not replace IP65 under a strong jet and does not make this a bathroom luminaire.
Light
Two integrated 5 W sources give 800 lm at 3000 K, CRI at least 80 and a 180° beam. Warm patches appear on the render above and below the cylinder. The source is included (10101, energy class G); you do not buy a separate E27 lamp. Nowodvorski states an average life of 10 000 hours.
Where it helps
800 lm from two apertures marks an entrance, a short façade run or a balcony, not a whole garden. A pair beside a door, or a rhythm along a fence or terrace, reads more clearly than a single point. 3000 K shifts the colour of pale render less than 4000 K.
Look and care
The plain white cylinder without ornament suits a modern façade. Clean only after isolating the supply and cooling, with a damp cloth and no solvents. The carton holds one luminaire with sources; choose wall plugs on site for the substrate.
