Outdoor Wall Light Nora 2495GR LED 8W 2700K DALI Graphite RAL 7016 NORLYS

Nora 2495GR is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat, square block of cast aluminium, powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). Light leaves through clear safety glass in the bottom edge and is aimed only downwards – the maker states a ULOR of 0%, so the fitting draws a wash on the wall below itself and sends nothing into the sky.

Size and installation

The front measures 13 × 13 cm and the light projects 5 cm from the wall. It fixes through two ø5 mm holes on a 63 × 112 mm pattern. The terminals take conductors up to 5×2.5 mm², and further fittings can be looped through with conductors up to 5×1.5 mm², so a row of lights along one facade runs from a single circuit. The gland is sized for round-sheathed cable 7–10.5 mm across, and protection class I means an earth conductor is required.

On a longer row the driver's inrush current matters – 6.7 A for 2.4 µs. The maker has converted it into fittings per circuit breaker: 46 on a B 10 A, 74 on a B 16 A or C 10 A, and 119 on a C 16 A.

Light and control

The integrated Cree LED module draws 8 W and the luminaire delivers 518 lm – enough for a front door or a section of facade, but not a whole driveway. 2700 K is warm, yellowish light close to a classic incandescent bulb, and CRI 80 renders plaster, timber and plant colours correctly. The maker declares flicker at Pst ≤1 and stroboscopic effect at SVM ≤0.4.

The driver works on the DALI2/TD system, so the light can be dimmed and integrated into building control over a DALI bus. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service – the maker lists service kit ZN2495XX0009 for this model. The module lasts over 52,600 h to a 10% drop in flux (L90) and over 102,000 h to a 20% drop (L80); the driver is rated at 100,000 h.

Where it fits

IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, and IK09 means resistance to 10 J impacts, which counts when the light is mounted low, within reach. The maker designed Nora for lighting walls and facades. The same series includes 8 W versions at 3000 K (2494) and 4000 K (2496), as well as satin-glass variants that give a more diffused light.
