Asker 5102CS is an outdoor wall light shaped as a rectangular box, 22.5 cm wide, 11 cm high and only 8.5 cm deep. The body is cast aluminium powder-coated in a corten steel colour – a rust-brown tone with a matt, grainy texture. The light openings at the top and bottom are closed with clear, structured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate on a silicone gasket.
How it lights
Light leaves in two directions – up and down – drawing two bands on the wall above and below the fitting. The manufacturer designed it for lighting walls and facades. A ULOR of 50 % means half of the light goes upwards, so there should be no bedroom window or eaves above it that you do not want lit.
The fitting draws 8.8 W and delivers 329 lm – accent light at an entrance or on a facade, not lighting for a whole driveway. 4000 K is neutral white with no yellow tint, CRI 80. The integrated LED module runs directly on 230 V mains, so there is no bulb to buy.
Dimming
The light is phase-dimmable and works with both dimmer types: trailing edge (TE) and leading edge (LE). That makes it compatible with newer RC dimmers as well as the older R/RL types found in existing installations.
Durability and mounting
IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets from any direction, and IK08 means resistance to a 5 J impact. The light weighs 1.35 kg and is fixed with two screws through ø4.5 mm holes spaced 180 × 60 mm apart. It is a protection class I fitting, so it needs a protective earth conductor and connection by an electrician. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to loop through to the next light (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), so several fittings along a wall run on one supply line.
