Outdoor wall light with motion sensor BORNHOLM 545GR 10.5W 4000K graphite RAL 7016 - NORLYS

Bornholm 545GR is a round outdoor LED wall light, 29 cm in diameter, with a built-in microwave motion sensor. The cast aluminium housing is powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016) and holds an opal, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser fixed to the frame with two screws.

How much light and what kind

The light draws 10.5 W and delivers 464 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white — cooler than an ordinary bulb and rendering the colours of façades and plants well (Ra 80). That output sits closer to accent level than to an old 60 W bulb: enough to light a door, entrance steps or the part of a terrace right next to the wall. The opal diffuser spreads the light across the whole disc, so individual LEDs are not visible.

Motion sensor and light source

The microwave sensor sits inside the housing, under the diffuser, so there is no separate sensor head on the wall — the light comes on when someone approaches. The source is an integrated LED module running directly on mains voltage, so there is no bulb to buy. The module is not user-replaceable: it is replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a qualified electrician. The manufacturer rates it at 50,000 hours.

Mounting and connection

The fitting is fixed to the wall through two ø5 mm holes spaced 100 × 170 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², or up to 3 × 1.5 mm² when several lights are looped through, so a run of wall lights can be fed from one circuit. The cable must have a round sheath of 7–10.5 mm — piercing the gasket with anything else breaks the seal. This is a protection class I luminaire, so it needs an earth conductor and installation by a qualified electrician.

Where it fits

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the light can be mounted on an uncovered wall. With its motion sensor it suits the space above a front door, a balcony, a terrace or a pergola, as well as hotel and restaurant entrances. The flat disc in a graphite frame, without ornament, is a modern form close to modernist simplicity.
