Uranos P0413 is a Max Light pendant lamp with a small white marble sphere encircled by a gold metal ring – the shape recalls a planet with its ring. The sphere hangs on a thin cable below a round gold canopy, and the light comes out through an opening in its lower part.
Dimensions and suspension
The shade with its ring is 16 cm in diameter and 11 cm high, and the canopy is 10 cm in diameter and 3 cm high. The maximum height of the whole lamp, from the ceiling to the bottom of the sphere, is 190 cm; compare this with the height of your room and with the surface the lamp will hang over. Because the body is so small, several units hung in a row over a kitchen island form an even line of light points.
What light it gives
The light source is a built-in 5 W LED module powered from 230 V mains. It delivers 350 lm, less than half of an old 60 W bulb – this is accent light that picks out the worktop below, and a separate light source will be needed to light the whole room. 3000 K is a warm white.
The module is included and cannot be replaced, so no bulbs need to be bought. The manufacturer does not provide for connecting a dimmer – the lamp always shines at full brightness. The module has energy efficiency class G, and the IP20 rating means it is intended for dry interiors.
Materials and style
The sphere is made of marble, the ring, canopy and fixings of gold-coloured metal, and acrylic is also used in the construction. Natural marble has its own veining, so each sphere looks slightly different from the photograph. The plain geometric form without ornament suits modern and minimalist interiors.
