Pendant lamp Nordlux Ellen 30 black E27 30 cm

Nordlux Ellen 30 in black RAL 9005 is a pendant with a metal hemisphere shade 30 cm across and 15 cm tall. The open, pale interior sends light downward in a wide cone, so a tabletop or island is brighter than the walls. A black textile cable 200 cm long drops from a 12 cm canopy; Nordlux states the cable is not replaceable and the fitting is not for hook suspension.

Fit under a 30 cm shade

The hemisphere itself is only 15 cm high, so hanging height comes from cable length, not a telescopic stem. 200 cm of cable can sit low over a dining table around 75 cm high or leave more headroom over a kitchen island. The 30 cm diameter covers about half the width of one place setting; on a long table one lamp lights the centre, not the full length. The 12 cm canopy suits a standard ceiling box but needs a fixed mount, not a hook.

Lamp and control

No bulb is included. There is one E27 holder and a 40 W maximum. Colour, output and dimming come from the bulb you fit: dimming works only with a dimmable lamp and a compatible dimmer. Supply is 220–240 V, class II. IP20 is for dry interiors, not bathrooms or outdoors.

Where a 30 cm dome belongs

The low, wide shade works over a dining table, a kitchen island and in a living room when you want downward task light rather than a glow across the whole room. The same shape suits a bedroom beside table or a hallway if the ceiling lets the shade stay clear of walking height. In a hotel or restaurant the black metal dome reads as a quiet fitting, not a decorative chandelier. The body is metal in RAL 9005; product photos show a light interior, so the dark shell does not trap the beam in a black well.

In the box

You get the luminaire, shade, canopy and textile cable. No E27 lamp, dimmer or hook. The cable cannot be swapped for another section or colour according to the datasheet. Net weight is 1 kg, so a typical ceiling needs no extra bracing, but the box must hold the fitting permanently rather than on a hook.
