The AKARI DU31288A/34W is a Zuma Line pendant lamp from the AKARI series, a cascade of six ribbed glass shades shaped like elongated lanterns, hung at different heights from one shared canopy. The canopy is black, while the rods and fittings connecting it to the shades are gold-finished metal.
How large the lamp is and how to hang it
The oval canopy is 45 cm in diameter and mounts to the ceiling like a typical multi-arm rose. The six shades hang on cords of different lengths — the lowest one drops up to 165 cm below the canopy, and the whole cascade spreads out to 50.5 cm wide, a figure worth comparing with the space above the table or counter where the lamp will hang. Each shade is 13.5 cm in diameter and has vertical ribbing along its full height, with gold metal fittings at the top and bottom. The lamp weighs 7.1 kg, so it needs a ceiling hook or anchor rated for that load — on plasterboard ceilings, the fixing has to reach the load-bearing structure behind it.
How much light it gives, and what kind
The six light points are integrated LED modules with a combined output of up to 34 W and 2141 lm. The light source cannot be replaced by the user — the manufacturer states that both the light source and the driver may only be serviced by a qualified technician. Colour temperature switches between 3000 K (warm white), 4500 K (neutral white) and 6500 K (cool white) without a separate dimmer; all six shades switch together, on one shared driver. The fixture carries energy efficiency class F.
