Q-MALINA Floor Lamp 439-55 Silver 2xLED

The Q-MALINA 439-55 is a floor lamp built from two wavy steel tubes in a silver finish that twist around each other and rise from a round, flat base. The light comes from an LED line set into the tubes, so the whole height of the body glows rather than a single point.

How big it is and where it stands

The lamp is 140.5 cm tall and its round base takes 22 × 22 cm of floor — less than a side table, so it fits beside a sofa or an armchair. At 2.78 kg it is light for that height, so keep it out of the walking route.

The 2.2 m cable ends in a European plug and carries an inline switch, so the lamp is turned on without reaching for the socket. Its IP20 rating makes it an indoor luminaire for dry rooms only.

How much light it gives

Two permanently built-in LED modules of 24 W and 29 W work inside the body, and the whole system draws 59 W. The modules cannot be swapped and there is no socket for a bulb: the lamp lights up as soon as it is plugged in, and nothing in it is replaceable later.

The modules themselves are rated at 6400 lm, while 3100 lm actually leaves the fixture, and that is the figure to plan a room around — roughly four old 60 W bulbs. Colour temperature is adjustable between 2700 and 5000 K, from warm yellowish light to a cool white close to daylight.

Control and smart home

An infrared remote is included and changes both brightness and colour temperature. A memory function restores the last setting even after the lamp is unplugged, and dimming happens on the remote rather than on a wall dimmer.

One remote handles up to 20 Q-series fittings in at most three groups. It also works in ZigBee-based smart home systems: some Echo speakers have a hub built in and connect directly, while others need a separate gateway.

Which room it suits

The manufacturer lists it as a living-room luminaire and photographs it beside a sofa. The interlaced tubes, with no shade and no ornament, give it a modern form that reads as an object even when the lamp is off.
