Quintiesse Fairfield large outdoor wall lantern – Olde Bronze, 1×E27

Quintiesse Fairfield QN-FAIRFIELD-L-OZ is a large outdoor wall lantern suspended from a short arm. Its aluminium body has an Olde Bronze finish, paired with clear seeded glass. Vertical bars define the glazed enclosure beneath a broad roof, while an oval backplate remains a visible part of the wall-mounted design.

Allow for the lantern's projection

The fitting measures 371 mm high and 190 mm wide, with a projection of 223 mm from the wall. Compare those dimensions with the space beside your doorway, window or building corner before choosing a position. The projection deserves particular attention around outward-opening doors and walkways: this is not a flat wall light. It is the large version in the Fairfield family, rather than the smaller lantern with a similar appearance.

The manufacturer specifies exterior wall use. An entrance wall, terrace wall or balcony wall can therefore be considered where the available space is suitable. Its IP44 rating includes protection against splashing water; it does not mean the fitting is dust-tight or suitable for immersion.

Choose one E27 bulb separately

There is one E27 socket, and the bulb is not included. The 60 W figure is the maximum permitted bulb wattage, not the consumption of a supplied light source. This fitting connects to a 220–240 V, 50 Hz mains supply and does not contain an integrated LED module.

Your chosen bulb determines brightness and light colour. The clear glass also leaves the bulb visible, so its shape contributes to the lantern's appearance. The manufacturer states compatibility with dimmable lamps. Dimming requires a suitable bulb and compatible control equipment; the lantern alone does not determine that combination.

Traditional form with simpler detailing

The bronze finish, glazed enclosure and roof refer to traditional outdoor lanterns, but the straight arm and regularly spaced bars simplify that vocabulary. This supports both classic and modern classic styling rather than an ornate period reproduction. The glass is clear, not frosted: the interior remains visible, and the seeded texture forms part of the daytime appearance as well as the illuminated view.
