Quintiesse: premium lighting from the Elstead Lighting Group
Quintiesse is a curated, premium lighting brand within the Elstead Lighting Group, a British company headquartered in Alton, Hampshire, with operations in the UK and Poland. Its range combines the group's own designs with collections from partner manufacturers and designers around the world – among them Eurofase, Alora and Currey & Company – that did not themselves operate in the 220–240 V regions. Quintiesse brings their designs to Europe built for local mains, and both its UK and Polish operations work to an ISO 9001 quality system. The brand is aimed at interior designers, hospitality and premium homes alike.
Craft and natural materials
Quintiesse puts craftsmanship at the centre: mouth-blown glass, hand-thrown terracotta, hand-brushed paint finishes, chemically dipped and hand-rubbed patinas, hand-woven rattan and raffia, crackle-glazed porcelain and hand-carved alabaster with its own natural veining. These materials are paired with metal in aged or brushed brass, bronze, polished nickel, chrome, gold leaf and matt black. The styles the brand works across are contemporary, artistic, retro modern, transitional, traditional and vintage, so a single collection can move from a classic town house to a modern hotel lobby.
Quintiesse at Lunares
At Lunares you will find Quintiesse wall lights and pendant lights, together with chandeliers, flush ceiling lights and semi-flush fittings, table lamps and picture lights. For outside there are outdoor wall lights, outdoor pendant and ceiling lights, garden lanterns and outdoor floor lamps.
How to choose a Quintiesse light
-
Lamps included or not. Many fittings take replaceable bulbs – E27, E14, G9 and others – and are often supplied without them; the product page states it. Some models have integrated LED.
-
Finish across a room. Brass, bronze and nickel finishes are often available across a whole family, so wall lights, pendants and table lamps can be matched.
-
Bathrooms and outdoors. Check the IP rating: IP44 bathroom wall lights suit the zones away from direct spray, and outdoor fittings carry their own ratings.
-
Dimming. Many fittings are compatible with dimmable lamps; use a dimmer suited to the bulbs you choose.
-
Spare glass. For many glass fittings Quintiesse lists a spare glass or shade code, which is useful if a shade is ever broken.
