Quintiesse Willard in Urban Bronze is a compact flush ceiling light with a steel body and clear prismatic glass. Stepped metal rings surround a glass shade that tapers towards its centre. The dark frame and finely patterned glass give this version a geometric Art Deco character rather than the appearance of a plain, flat ceiling disc.

A shallow fitting with a defined profile

The fitting measures 25.9 cm in diameter and 12.5 cm in overall height. There is no hanging cable or projecting arm, so it sits close to the ceiling. Allow for the full height when planning its position: the glass extends below the metal frame, and the fitting is not completely flat.

Its compact form suits ceiling lighting in an entrance hall, corridor or bedroom. In a living room, dining room, kitchen or study, it can provide general or supplementary lighting, depending on the room size and the bulb selected. It is not a substitute for a directional task light aimed at a desk or work surface.

Choose the bulb and controls separately

Willard has one E14 socket for a bulb rated at a maximum of 60 W. The bulb is not supplied, and there is no integrated LED module. Light colour and brightness therefore depend on the separately purchased bulb, rather than being fixed characteristics of the Urban Bronze fitting.

The manufacturer confirms compatibility with dimmable bulbs. If you need adjustable brightness, choose a dimmable bulb and suitable controls that work together. An E14 socket does not, by itself, make every bulb fitted to it dimmable.

Glass texture that remains part of the design

The prismatic surface refracts light, while its fine relief remains visible when the fitting is switched off. Clear patterned glass does not have the same appearance as a smooth opal cover. Willard is a choice for interiors where dark metal rings and geometric glass details should be visible on the ceiling, without introducing a large suspended structure.
