NUMINOS MOVE S is a round recessed ceiling light: a black ring 10 cm across with a white movable reflector inside it. The reflector rotates through 350° and tilts by 30°, so the direction of the light is set after the fitting is installed. The body is aluminium and the cover is polycarbonate.

The driver is not in the box

This is a class III fitting with a rated current of 250 mA — it is not wired straight to 230 V. The 250 mA LED driver is a separate article and without one the fitting cannot be switched on; the manufacturer lists drivers of 6.5–10 W, 12 W and 20 W at that current, and it is the driver that decides whether and by what means the light dims. A 10 cm lead with a low-voltage plug comes out of the fitting.

Cut-out and dimensions

The fitting drops into a round cut-out 9 cm in diameter and needs 8.5 cm of depth above the ceiling — two numbers to check before ordering, particularly in a suspended ceiling with a shallow void. The visible ring measures 10 cm and stands 0.3 cm below the ceiling plane; spring clips hold the fitting in place. It weighs 0.209 kg.

If the ceiling already has a larger hole, the manufacturer offers a 160/100 mm reduction ring for this fitting — also bought separately.

The light it gives

The LED module draws 8.6 W and puts out 720 lm in a 40° beam, that is a directed cone rather than light spread across the whole room. 2700 K is warm white close to the old incandescent bulb, and colour rendering of Ra 90 keeps the shades of fabric, wood or displayed goods true.

The glare rating of UGR 19 or less follows from the deeply set reflector — the diode stays out of the field of view when you look down the room. The manufacturer states lumen maintenance of L80B50 for at least 50 000 h, and the module itself is changed only by a professional service, not by the user.

Where it suits

The fitting is intended for dry interiors. The plain shape without ornament and the black-and-white reflector belong in modern and minimalist schemes — in the living room, the entrance hall and the corridor, and with Ra 90 and a warm light colour also in a hotel or a shop.
