Rendl BJORK R 20 in the black R13587 version is a round LED fitting for recessed ceiling installation. A narrow dark rim surrounds the white illuminated face, with a 20 cm diameter that presents a larger visible surface than a small spotlight. Its distinguishing installation feature is a pair of sliding mounting springs. Their spacing can be adjusted to suit an existing ceiling opening, rather than requiring one fixed cut-out diameter.
Check the opening and the space above it
The permitted cut-out diameter is 6–18 cm. The fitting's outside diameter of 20 cm is not the dimension to use when cutting the ceiling. When replacing an older light, check both the opening and the available space above the ceiling. Rendl specifies a recess depth of 4.5 cm; the 2 cm body height stated on the product page does not replace that installation requirement.
The rear photographs show the two springs sliding along guides and a separate driver connected by a cable. These views help identify the mounting arrangement before planning a replacement in a suspended ceiling. Adjustable springs still have a defined range: they do not make every existing hole suitable for this fitting.
Integrated LED with its driver supplied
The light includes its integrated LED source and power driver. It is rated at 18 W with a luminous flux of 1800 lm, so a separate screw-base bulb is not required. The 3000 K colour temperature gives warm-white light, a useful consideration when combining it with other fittings. Rendl also specifies Ra 80 colour rendering and a 230 V supply.
A simple black outline for interior lighting
The circular face and absence of decorative details support a modern, minimalist appearance. It can form part of ceiling lighting in a living room, bedroom, kitchen or hallway; the manufacturer also lists office and garage applications. Choose the number and arrangement of fittings for the room rather than assuming one panel will illuminate every space. Black R13587 is a distinct version from white R13586.
