PELIQUE is a black recessed spotlight shaped as a narrow 2.6 cm tube held in a swivel joint. The body is aluminium, and a separate trimless mounting ring with a perforated flange is supplied with it.
How it is installed
The ring is set into the ceiling and filled flush with its surface — the holes in the flange are there so the plaster keys into the metal. The result is a fitting with no visible bezel: the whole body stays above the ceiling and only the tube shows below it.
The fitting is 25 cm long overall, so it is worth checking how much free space there is above the ceiling board before ordering. The joint lets the tube be angled after installation, and at full tilt the fitting sits within a field 10.6 cm wide, which is what the manufacturer dimension drawing states.
The light it gives
The built-in LED module draws 6 W and delivers 740 lm at 3000 K, that is warm white. The beam angle is 30°, so the light lands as a narrow cone on a chosen point instead of spreading around the room: one fitting lights a picture, a shelf or a stretch of worktop, and several are needed to light a whole room.
The manufacturer states a colour rendering index above 90. At that figure colours seen under this light match the way they look in daylight, which matters wherever the beam falls on fabric, wood or food.
The light source is integrated into the fitting. There is no cap and no lamp to buy, but there is none to change either — when the module is spent, the whole fitting is replaced.
Where it may go
An IP20 rating and a 230 V supply mean dry interiors: the fitting is not intended for the shower zone of a bathroom or for outdoor use.
Body, joint and mounting ring are aluminium finished in black, the inside of the tube included. The diode sits deep inside the tube, so looking at the fitting from the side you do not see it directly.
