Rendl ARETHA IV R14424 is a black linear pendant light with four circular LED modules arranged beneath a straight bar. Two slender suspension lines connect it to an elongated ceiling canopy. Its light is directed downwards, making the position over the surface below more important than simply centring the fitting on an existing ceiling connection.
Four light points in a row
The arrangement follows the long axis of a dining table or kitchen island. ARETHA IV can also sit above a table within a combined living and dining space. It is not a pendant that sends light equally in every direction: the construction directs illumination beneath the bar. In an open-plan room, plan lighting for the surrounding areas separately rather than assuming that this single fitting will cover every part of the room.
Measurements to check before installation
The manufacturer's drawing specifies an overall length of 85.5 cm, a circular-module diameter of 13.5 cm and a lower-body height of 6.3 cm. The ceiling canopy measures 28 cm in length and 3 cm in height. A suspension dimension of 150 cm is shown. Compare these measurements with the ceiling height and the intended table position, including the view from a seated person's eye level. The suspension measurement should not be confused with the height of the lower light fitting itself.
Integrated warm-white LED lighting
The LED sources are built in, so four separate bulbs do not need to be purchased. The installation manual identifies the configuration as 4 × 12 W with a 230 V AC supply. Rendl specifies 3000 K and a luminous flux of 4185 lm. Warm-white light is therefore part of this particular version. Installation must be carried out by a qualified installer with the electrical supply switched off.
The black finish, straight bar and repeated circular forms support a modern, minimalist appearance. This is a linear alternative to a decorative multi-arm chandelier when a simple silhouette above the table is preferred.
