Rendl CLUB is a round wall-recessed luminaire 5.8 cm across, with a silver-grey ring and a matt diffuser in the middle. The diffuser sits set back inside the ring, so from an angle you see the glow rather than the diode itself. Once installed, only the flat ring stands out from the wall surface, and the LED is built in permanently and comes with the fitting.
How much light it gives, and what kind
The luminaire puts out 270 lm. That output is meant for orientation light — marking a path, a step or an entrance — rather than lighting a whole passage. 3000 K is warm white with a slightly yellow cast, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough where light shows the way instead of showing colours.
The diodes are built into the body and cannot be replaced — at the end of their life the whole module is swapped. The manufacturer states 50,000 hours. Power draw is 3 W at 230 V, and the transformer is included, so there is nothing extra to buy.
The opening you need to prepare
The mounting hole is round and 5.7 cm across, and the recess depth is 9 cm. Compare that second figure with the thickness of the wall, or with the space behind the cladding at the chosen spot — depth decides whether the fitting goes in, not weight: the body itself weighs 0.17 kg.
Where the manufacturer intends it
IP54 protection covers dust and splashing water, so the fitting can work outdoors without further shielding. Rendl aims it mainly at walls: along a path, by an entrance and around the house, and as orientation lighting in corridors and on staircases.
The catalogue also lists it for facades, hotels, restaurants and garages — circulation routes where several such points run along a wall. The form is modern and modernist: a flat ring with no ornament, visible just enough to mark where the light comes from.
