Zambelis 25387 is a round mirror, 60 cm in diameter, in a matt black aluminium frame that hangs from a decorative strap. Built-in LED lighting rated at 15 W runs along the edge of the glass and is controlled by a touch button at the bottom of the mirror.
How big it is and how it hangs
The mirror and frame measure 60 cm across and 4.7 cm deep, and with the strap the whole piece is 92 cm tall — that is the wall space to allow above the washbasin, measured from the point where the strap is fixed. The manufacturer's instructions show two ways to mount it: on a single wall plug in an 8 mm hole, with the mirror hanging from its strap, or on two plugs when the mirror should sit flat against the wall and the strap is there for looks.
What light it gives
The manufacturer lists two colour temperatures: 3000 K, a warm white close to a traditional bulb, at 1012 lm, and 4000 K, a neutral white, at 1210 lm. A colour rendering index of Ra 80 is fine for everyday grooming, though for make-up skin tones look a little less true than they do in daylight.
Brightness is adjusted by touch, and a memory function keeps the last setting when the power is switched off, so the mirror comes back on exactly as you left it. The LED is built in and, according to the manufacturer, may only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person. Rated life is 30,000 hours (L70B50) — more than 27 years at three hours a day.
Bathroom installation and connection
IP44 means protection against water splashed from any direction, which is why the manufacturer designates this mirror for the bathroom. The fitting is protection class I, so it needs an earth connection, and the manufacturer advises having it installed by an electrician. No supply cable is included.
