POINT PLEXI M is a surface-mounted downlight shaped as a cylinder 12.7 cm across. The body is steel painted black in P013 RAL 9005, and the underside is closed by a white PMMA disc that hides the bulb. It fixes straight to the ceiling, with no opening to cut.
How much room it takes and how it mounts
The cylinder measures 12.7 cm in diameter and 13 cm in height β exactly how far it stands proud of the ceiling. The manufacturer specifies direct mounting, so no void has to be kept free above the ceiling; this is the answer for a concrete slab and anywhere a recessed fitting cannot be hidden.
The mounting kit is in the box. The fitting is protection class I, so the circuit it joins has to carry an earth conductor β worth checking before the lamp goes up.
Which bulb to buy for it
There is one GU10 lampholder and no bulb in the box. The manufacturer allows a source of up to 10 W and specifies LED lamps only, so a GU10 halogen is out.
Colour and brightness are therefore yours to choose, and the source stays replaceable for the life of the fitting. The white PMMA disc spreads the light across the whole underside, so instead of a point reflection you see an evenly lit circle.
Where to put it
The manufacturer intends the fitting for interiors. The 13 cm black cylinder is plainly visible on the ceiling and reads as a piece of the fit-out rather than a hidden light point β hence its place over an entrance and in a hallway, while several set out together light a living room, a bedroom or a kitchen worktop.
The finish comes down to two elements: the matt black of the body and the white disc. The manufacturer offers a white version in the same range.
