TEKKNI IKKE LED profile set 3 m, black anodised, milky S10 cover, end caps and clips (38-0791-30)

This is a complete mounting kit for an LED profile from the TEKKNI range (a Lumines Lighting brand) – not the extrusion alone. One box holds every part needed to install a three-metre line of light, except the strip itself.

What is in the box

• 1 × IKKE profile – aluminium, 3 m, black anodised;
• 1 × S10 cover in polycarbonate, milky (diffuses the light and hides the individual diodes);
• 4 × end cap, IKKE, plastic;
• 4 × mounting clip, IKKE, metal.

Four caps and four clips is more than the minimum – the profile can be cut into two shorter runs, each closed off and fixed separately.

What the kit does NOT include

Two things are still needed and are not in the box: the LED strip and a driver. Budget for them from the start – three metres of profile needs three metres of tape, and the driver is sized from the tape's consumption per metre, with headroom.

Surface mounting, three ways

The profile mounts on the surface (it is not recessed into board): on mounting tape, on the supplied clips, or on screws. The manufacturer aims it at furniture applications – under kitchen cabinets, inside wardrobes, on shelves, in office joinery. Three metres is the length of a typical kitchen worktop.

Milky cover – why this one

The S10 cover comes in three versions: transparent, frozen and milky. The last diffuses most strongly: you do not see individual diodes through it, only one continuous line of light. The cost is a few per cent of output held back in the cover. Transparent passes the most light, but with widely spaced diodes you see "dots".

Variants

The same kit comes in two colours and two lengths. Black, 3 m: transparent cover 38-0811-30, frozen 38-0801-30, milky 38-0791-30 (this product); the 2.02 m versions are 38-0751-20, 38-0741-20 and 38-0731-20. Silver anodised uses 38-0840-30 / 38-0830-30 / 38-0820-30 (3 m) and 38-0780-20 / 38-0770-20 / 38-0760-20 (2.02 m).
