TRENTO 1980 is a six-light chandelier on a gold steel frame. Straight arms run out from a central hub on two levels, and each one ends in a white opal glass globe held in a gold holder. The whole fitting hangs from a rigid rod finished with a round ceiling canopy.
How big it is and where to hang it
The arms span 128 cm and the fitting is 54 cm deep — a rectangle worth measuring out over the table or over the free part of the room before the chandelier goes up. Above a dining table with a 75 cm top, the lower edges of the shades are usually set 70–80 cm above the surface, so the light covers the whole table without shining into anyone's eyes.
The height of the fitting itself falls between 55 and 88 cm, because the supporting rod is made up of sections — you pick the length during installation to suit the ceiling height. The chandelier weighs 4.15 kg, so the ceiling fixing has to carry that; a plasterboard ceiling needs an anchor into the supporting structure.
What bulbs you have to buy
The fitting has six G9 sockets and takes lamps of up to 14 W each. Bulbs are not supplied, so the colour and the brightness are yours to choose: above a dining table 2700–3000 K is the usual pick, that is warm light with a yellowish cast.
The lamps are replaceable — when one goes, only the bulb is changed, not the whole fitting. Six points spread along the diagonal give light from several places at once, which makes shadows on the tabletop softer than under a single shade.
Finish and where it belongs
The arms, hub, holders and canopy are steel in a polished gold finish, and the shades are milky white glass. Pairing glossy metal with opaque glass means that once the lamps are on, the globes themselves are what glows while the frame stays darker.
The manufacturer intends this chandelier for indoor use only. It belongs to the TRENTO series and is modern in character: straight, unornamented arms and a repeated spherical shade.
