Jupiter: classic lighting from a Polish family workshop

Jupiter is a Polish family company based in Częstochowa that has been making lights since 1975. Its lamps are built in its own manufactory, where an in-house machine park and tool shop let the company handle the key stages of production itself, from metalworking through to final assembly. Experienced craftspeople oversee the work, and the fittings are made both for private homes and for hotels, restaurants and public buildings.

A look you recognise by the finish

The brand is built on timeless, classic shapes drawn from European interiors. Its signatures are patinas in shades of aged gold, a decorative scratched effect on brass-finished parts, and finishing done by hand. Alongside the more ornate classic collections there are calmer lines where brass meets black, green or plain glass, which suit a modern classic scheme just as well as a traditional one.

Jupiter lamps at Lunares

At Lunares you will find Jupiter chandeliers and pendant lights, from a single shade to multi-arm fittings for a living or dining room. You can match them with wall lights, often from the same family, ceiling lights, floor lamps, table lamps and traditional desk lamps, for example in brass or black. Many Jupiter families span several fitting types under one name, which makes it easy to keep one look running through the whole house.

How to choose a Jupiter fitting

  • Number of lights and lamp holder. Jupiter fittings take replaceable bulbs – E27, E14, G9 or GU10 depending on the model – which are usually bought separately. With a chandelier, count the bulbs and choose the wattage so that together they light the whole room.
  • Diameter and drop. A wide chandelier needs a room with a generous ceiling height. Many pendants give their height as a range, so you can set the drop over a table or adjust it to a lower ceiling.
  • Finish. Patinated brass, aged gold, brushed brass or gold paired with black: keep to one tone within a room and the fittings will read as a set.
  • Where it goes. These are indoor fittings. For a bathroom or the garden, choose a light with a suitable IP rating.
