JUPITER MOKA 1998 is an eight-light chandelier with slender arms spreading out from a central stem. White glass globes alternate with black rounded heads that open downwards. Made from painted steel and glass, it combines a dark linear framework with two visibly different kinds of spherical shade.
Allow for two different bulb types
This fitting takes four G9 bulbs and four GU10 bulbs. All eight light sources are replaceable, but none is supplied with the chandelier. Your shopping list therefore needs both cap types rather than eight identical bulbs. Choose the brightness and colour temperature through the specifications of the bulbs you buy; the fitting does not have one fixed integrated light source.
The photographs distinguish the illuminated white globes from the light emerging through the lower openings in the black heads. This arrangement is worth considering when planning light over a table or within a seating area. The final result also depends on the chosen bulbs, so eight light points alone do not establish how brightly the room will be lit.
Check the whole footprint
The chandelier measures 100 cm wide and 95.5 cm deep, with a manufacturer-stated fitting height of 47–69 cm. Compare both horizontal dimensions with your dining table, kitchen island and nearby furniture before choosing its position. Its arms extend in several directions rather than following the narrow line of a linear pendant.
These proportions make it a candidate for a dining area, living room or suitably sized kitchen island. In a bedroom, check the remaining space below the fitting and around the outermost globes just as carefully. The manufacturer specifies indoor use, not installation outdoors.
A black and white Sputnik form
The radial arms and rounded ends recall the Sputnik silhouette, while straight rods and the absence of decorative scrollwork give it a modern character. Black furniture details can echo the frame without removing the contrast of the white glass. The manufacturer lists a five-year warranty for this model.
