V-TAC VT-7978 LED pendant light 120 cm 3000 K wood-effect and black

The V-TAC VT-7978 is a long pendant light with a metal structure finished in wood effect and black. Several slim, curved bands cross around a linear light module to form a fitting 120 cm long. Its LED source is integrated, so there is no separate bulb or lamp cap to select.

Dimensions above a table and within the room

The body measures 120 cm long and 12 cm wide, while the overall height is 115 cm. Its ceiling base is 110 cm long. These figures can be checked against the length of the surface below and the room height before installation. V-TAC's visualisation places the fitting above a long table, where the horizontal format follows the direction of the tabletop.

The fitting hangs from two slim suspension wires and connects directly to a 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz supply. The instructions require the power to be isolated before work starts. Both the LED module and control gear are replaceable only by a professional. The documentation does not confirm adjustable suspension, so the stated overall height should be used when planning its position.

Light output and character

The integrated module draws 15 W and produces 1600 lm. This output is at a level suitable for a clearly defined zone, although the number of fittings still needs to be considered alongside the room area and other light points. A colour temperature of 3000 K gives warm white light, while CRI above 80 indicates a standard functional level of colour rendering.

V-TAC specifies an optical beam angle of 180°, creating a broad field rather than a narrow cone of light. The pendant is not dimmable and therefore operates at a fixed brightness. Its LED module is included and, according to the manual, may be replaced only by a professional service technician.

Material, finish and applications

The manual identifies the material as metal, whereas “wood+black” describes the colour and finish. The pale wood-effect surface is therefore not evidence of solid-wood construction. Black joints and technical components contrast with the lighter bands shown throughout the gallery.

V-TAC lists residential interiors, hotels, restaurants and commercial lighting among the applications. The manufacturer states a 20,000-hour service life, more than 15,000 switching cycles and a two-year warranty.
