VIVA GOLD is a three-head ceiling spotlight on a plain black bar 62 cm long. Three short stems leave the bar, each ending in a knuckle joint that carries an open shade built from gold metal rings, with an E27 lampholder sitting inside it.
How much ceiling it takes up
The bar is 62 cm long and 12 cm wide, and the whole fitting reaches 20 cm below the ceiling. That drop is worth comparing with your own ceiling and with whatever sits under the lamp β over a worktop or a table 20 cm is of no consequence, in a low passage it has to be counted.
This is a surface-mounted fitting: the bar screws flat to the ceiling, so no cut-out and no space above the board are needed. Gross weight with packaging is 1.7 kg, which an ordinary ceiling fixing carries; on plasterboard it is worth hitting the supporting structure.
Aiming the light
Three light points spread over 62 cm leave roughly 25 cm between them. Each shade turns on its joint, so the light can be spread across three separate spots β worktop, sink and doorway β or all three aimed at one.
The shades are open, built from horizontal rings with gaps between them, so light escapes sideways and upwards as well as down, bouncing off the ceiling. The bulb is fully visible through them and becomes part of how the fitting looks, which is worth weighing when you choose one.
Which bulbs you need to buy
You need three E27 bulbs, up to 60 W each. Keter supplies none of them and the sources are replaceable, so colour and brightness are your choice: around 800 lm per point matches the old 60 W bulb, and 2700 K gives warm, slightly yellow light.
With a bare source inside an open shade, remember that the glowing element is seen directly β a frosted envelope reads softer than a clear one.
Construction
Bar and shades are metal: the bar and the lampholder collars in black, the shade rings in gold. Keter specifies the fitting for indoor use only.
