Zambelis 22180 is a single pendant with a conical shade of gold-painted aluminium set on a black, sand-textured stem. The shade is 10.5 cm across and the whole fitting stands 24 cm tall. It hangs on a black fabric cable 200 cm long, shortened to length during installation.
How high to hang it
The cable allows a drop of up to 200 cm, and the canopy is 8 cm across and 3.5 cm deep, enough to cover a standard ceiling box. Above a table the drop is usually set so the lower rim of the shade sits 70–80 cm above the top — the light then lands on the place settings rather than in the eyes of anyone seated.
A 10.5 cm shade lights a section of the top, not the whole table. Over a longer worktop or a kitchen island several of these are therefore hung in a row, with the spacing chosen to match the length of the top. The manufacturer rates the fitting protection class I, so the connection needs an earth conductor.
How much light it gives
The LED module is built in permanently and puts out 840 lm — roughly what an old 60 W bulb gave — for 7 W of consumption. 3000 K is warm white, clearly warmer than daylight. The beam angle is 36°, so the light falls in a tight cone downwards instead of lifting the whole room.
The light source cannot be replaced: the manufacturer quotes a lifetime of L80B10 50,000 h, after which the whole fitting is replaced. The fitting is not dimmable and will not work on a dimmer. Its energy label reads class F and 7 kWh per 1000 hours of use.
Where it belongs and what it is made of
The stated applications are the living room, the dining room, the bedroom, the space above a kitchen island and hotel interiors — anywhere the fitting hangs over one particular spot. The manufacturer intends it for indoor mounting only.
Body and shade are metal and aluminium: a matt, sand-textured black against the smooth gold of the shade. The fitting is made in Greece and arrives in a 32 × 32 × 32 cm carton weighing 2 kg gross.
