RAVON P241145502A is a pendant light made of two flat, oval LED rings hung horizontally and overlapping one another: the smaller one has a gold finish, the larger one black. The whole piece hangs on two thin cables below a rectangular black ceiling canopy. The form is modern – smooth geometric loops without ornament, where the only accent is the pairing of gold with black.
Size and where to hang it
Together the two rings form a line 123 cm long and 16 cm wide: the smaller ring is 47.2 cm long, the larger 87.2 cm, and the ring profile is 2.2 cm thick. The overall height of the lamp, from the ceiling to the rings, is 150 cm – a figure to compare with the height of your own room. The canopy measures 20 × 6 cm. The lamp ships in a long carton measuring 125.3 × 16.6 × 7 cm, worth bearing in mind when taking delivery.
The elongated shape suits a long surface such as a dining table. The 123 cm length is best compared with the length of the tabletop the lamp is to hang over.
What light it gives
The light comes from a built-in 40 W LED source supplied with the lamp, so there are no bulbs to buy. The manufacturer lists two light sources – each ring shines as a separate light point. A luminous flux of 2200 lm is bright enough for main lighting, not just mood lighting. The 3000 K colour temperature is a warm white, close to the light of a traditional bulb. The lamp is not compatible with a dimmer.
Installation and service
According to the manufacturer's instructions, the wall plugs and screws for fixing the canopy are not included and need to be chosen for the type of ceiling. The light source and the driver are replaceable, but only by a professional service, not by the user.
