ASKER BIG PRO 5087GR is an outdoor wall light with a wedge-shaped body in powder-coated cast aluminium, graphite RAL 7016. A lens of clear structured polycarbonate runs along the lower front edge. The fitting is 30,2 cm wide, 12,5 cm high and stands 12,1 cm out from the wall.

How it lights

Light leaves the fitting downwards only — the manufacturer gives ULOR 0%, no share of the flux directed upwards, and describes the distribution as hemispherical and downward-directed. On a facade that gives a broad wash running down the wall below it, with no glow above.

Two LED modules produce 1303 lm, and 960 lm leave the fitting through the lens — that second figure is the one to compare with other luminaires. 4000 K is neutral white with no yellow cast, and CRI 80 is enough to tell the colour of render and paving after dark.

The fitting dims over DALI2 as standard. That is digital control, so it needs a DALI bus and a controller — an ordinary phase dimmer on the circuit will not work and can damage the driver.

Mounting and supply

There are two ways to fix it: through an intermediate plate with two 5 × 10 mm adjustment slots at 45 mm centres, or directly through two ø5 mm holes at 68 mm centres. The slots let you bring it back to vertical after drilling.

The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2,5 mm², and the fitting loops through with up to 5 × 1,5 mm² — so a row along a facade runs off one supply line instead of a spur to each. The gland accepts round cable ø7–10,5 mm. Protection class I needs an earth conductor; supply is ~220–240 V.

Inrush current is 20 A for 200 µs, so a long row can trip the breaker at switch-on. The manufacturer publishes the maximum number per MCB: 10 on B 10 A, 30 on B 16 A, 31 on C 10 A and 51 on C 16 A.

Build and servicing

The body is powder-coated cast aluminium, the lens UV-stabilised polycarbonate, the gasket silicone and the gland EPDM. IP65 means dust-tight and jet-proof, IK08 impact resistance to 5 J. It weighs 2,62 kg net and 2,98 kg gross.

The LED modules and the driver are changed by a professional, and the service set is ZS5087zx0009 — a failure means replacing a part, not the whole fitting. The warranty runs 5 years and the anti-corrosion warranty 25 years.
