Domino IV is a bathroom wall light built from a 63 cm chrome bar carrying four opal glass spheres, each 9 cm across. The manufacturer intends it for bathrooms and rates it IP44.
Where it fits
63 cm is the figure to hold against the width of your mirror or basin top: a bar shorter than the mirror reads as part of it, a longer one starts to overhang. The spheres are spaced evenly along the whole bar, so the light is not concentrated in one spot above the middle of the mirror.
The fitting mounts horizontally, most often above a mirror. It runs on 230 V and is wired into the installation rather than plugged in, so in a bathroom the cable has to reach the mounting point beforehand.
Lamps: what you still need to buy
The light has four G9 lampholders, each taking a maximum of 6 W. No lamps are included — the manufacturer recommends its own G9 LED, article G13037, but any G9 lamp within that wattage limit fits.
Because you pick the lamps yourself, they decide the light colour: at a mirror 3000–4000 K is the usual choice, and a high colour-rendering index matters here, since this is the light you judge skin tone and make-up by. The opal glass diffuses the point-like G9 source, so the whole sphere glows instead of the lamp showing through.
Build and bathroom use
The bar and fixings are chrome-plated and the shades are opal glass. The fitting weighs 2.17 kg, 2.91 kg boxed — a weight to allow for when choosing wall plugs, especially in plasterboard.
IP44 means protection against splashing water from any direction. That allows the light in a bathroom outside the direct-spray zone — above a basin and beside a mirror — but not inside a shower enclosure or over a bath.
