Borg Bollard 6123AL is a low Norlys bollard light, 35 cm tall: a flat, round head 20 cm across sits on a slim 7.6 cm diameter shaft and shines downwards. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium in aluminium RAL 9006, and the underside of the head is closed by a satin PMMA diffuser. Norlys intends it for lighting gardens and other private grounds.
What kind of light it gives
The luminaire draws 17.2 W and delivers 1396 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white. The distribution is rotationally symmetric, so the light falls in a circle around the bollard, and a ULOR of 0% means nothing shines upwards. The BUG rating B1-U1-G0 confirms it does not glare sideways — the light lands on the ground around the bollard. Colour rendering is Ra 80.
Control and servicing
The luminaire has a DALI2 driver and is controlled only through that system: dimming and programming need a DALI controller, and a phase dimmer on the supply line will not work. The LED module is built in and included; Norlys states an L80 lifetime of more than 102,000 h. The module and control gear may only be replaced by a qualified service technician.
Installation and what to buy separately
The bollard is installed according to the enclosed manual, and the fixing parts are sold separately: a ground anchor (index 202GA) or an anchor for setting in concrete (203ZX). The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm², or up to 5 × 1.5 mm² when looping through to the next luminaire — the extra cores carry the DALI control line. The cable entry takes a round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter.
It is a protection class I luminaire, so the circuit needs a protective earth. IP65 protects it against water jets from any direction, and IK08 means increased impact resistance. The luminaire weighs 2.03 kg.
