COMO GOLD 560 is a spider pendant light with three shades of gold-coloured metal wire, formed into geometric cages. All three cables leave one round black ceiling canopy, and the cables themselves are black too, so the light combines two colours: gold shades and lampholders against black suspension parts.
Size and how it hangs
The manufacturer gives each dimension as a range from 40 to 180 cm: the length of each drop is set separately, so the shades can hang level or staggered. In the manufacturer's photograph two of the cables are routed over fixing points on the ceiling, which spreads the shades wider than the canopy alone; those points need planning separately, as the specification does not list them as included. Over a table the drops are usually shortened so that the bottom of the shades sits 70–80 cm above the top. The gross weight with packaging is 1.5 kg.
Light sources
Each shade has an E27 lampholder, and the manufacturer allows bulbs of up to 60 W. Bulbs are not included, so three need to be bought. The wire cage does not hide the source, which makes the shape and colour of the bulb part of how the light looks; the manufacturer's photograph shows decorative bulbs with a visible filament. The fitting has no brightness control of its own, and its IP20 rating means it is for indoor use only.
Style and use
Keter Lighting places the Como series in a modern style, and the open wire shades give it a light, graphic character. The manufacturer intends it for living rooms, hallways and kitchens, and for restaurants and cafés. The Como series also includes versions with one, two and five shades, plus three-light versions on a bar and on a round ceiling plate.
