MOLIQ is a round dining table with a 120 cm top standing 75 cm high. The top and the four broad flat legs set in a star are finished in matte olive green β uniform across the whole piece, with no visible wood grain.
How much room it needs
The top is 120 cm across, and walking freely around the table adds roughly 80 cm on every side β about 280 cm of clear floor in each direction altogether. That is the first figure to check in the dining room, before the looks.
The 75 cm height is the standard for a dining table, so ordinary chairs with a 44β47 cm seat height suit it. The circumference of a 120 cm top is about 377 cm; set against the 60 cm per adult usually allowed, you can work out for yourself how many chairs fit around it β the manufacturer states no number of places.
The legs stand well inboard of the edge, and a round top has no corners, so chairs can be pushed in anywhere around the perimeter rather than only along sides and ends.
What it is made of
The construction is MDF board β a wood-based material, not solid timber; the olive green is a surface finish rather than the colour of the material itself. The table weighs 65 kg, worth knowing before carrying it up stairs or sliding it across a floor that scratches.
Looking after it
The manufacturer requires coasters or placemats and forbids putting wet or hot dishes straight onto the top. That is the condition for keeping the finish intact, so mats have to be within reach at every meal β the matte surface is no substitute for them.
