Endon Highclere 94361 3-Light Natural Linen and Chrome Pendant Ø45 cm

The Highclere 94361 is a three-light Endon pendant with a drum shade in natural linen, 45 cm across. The shade is lined on the inside with a brushed metallic layer, while the arms, centre body, chain and ceiling plate carry a brushed chrome finish.

How high it hangs and how much room it needs

The shade measures 45 cm in diameter and 13.5 cm in height. That diameter keeps its proportions over a table 80–90 cm wide, and the lower edge of the shade is usually set 70–80 cm above the tabletop — the light then covers the whole surface without shining into the eyes of anyone seated.

Overall height adjusts between 35 and 142 cm by shortening the one-metre chain, so the fitting suits a low ceiling as readily as a table in a high-ceilinged room. It weighs 1.8 kg, and the clear flex runs alongside the chain.

Which lamps you need to buy

The fitting takes three E14 lamps, each rated up to 40 W. Lamps are not included, so colour and brightness are your choice: if the pendant is to light the whole room, look for lamps of around 800 lm each, which is what the old 60 W incandescent gave. A colour temperature of 2700–3000 K means warm, slightly yellow light.

The shade is open at the bottom and the lamps are visible from below — the manufacturer pairs it with E14 LED filament candles. The fitting can be dimmed, but that needs dimmable lamps and a dimmer on the circuit; the lampholder itself does not control brightness.

Build and wiring

The shade is sewn entirely from linen in a natural, undyed shade, which leaves the weave of the fabric visible. The metallic lining throws light down onto the surface below the pendant instead of absorbing it. The metalwork is brushed chrome — satin, with no mirror shine.

The fitting is Class I, so its circuit must have an earth conductor; before mounting, check that the ceiling box holds a green-and-yellow core. The manufacturer covers it with a two-year warranty.
